How to Join me on Twitch

If you found this page, I hope it means you are interested in hanging out with me on Twitch! I’ll be live-streaming four times a week, starting Thursday, Jan 13 2022 at 12:30PM PST. If you aren’t ready to sign up and join the chat yet, you can still watch the stream anytime I’m live by visiting https://www.twitch.tv/thelastjohnson. No one on Twitch will know I’m there at first, so every view is appreciated!

Though I’d be happy to have you come watch anytime, Twitch is much more fun if you create an account, follow my page, and join the chat! Streaming on Twitch is a cross between a show and a hang. If you aren’t in the chat, you can’t be a part of the hang! Once logged in, you can request songs, share your cheers and applause, join the conversation, and even be a part of helping make the stream better.

If you want to get the most out of my stream, you can take the following steps:

  1. Signup for a Twitch account at https://www.twitch.tv
  2. Follow my Twitch account at https://www.twitch.tv/thelastjohnson
  3. Install the Twitch app on your iphone, ipad, or android so you can watch on mobile
  4. Be sure notifications are turned on, so you get a message when I go live
  5. Subscribe to my account to remove all ads and directly support my stream
  6. Subscribe to my account free of charge if you have an Amazon Prime account: https://www.howtogeek.com/670241/how-to-subscribe-to-a-twitch-streamer-using-amazon-prime/

Here is my current Twitch Schedule:

Monday: 12:30-4:30PM PST

Wednesday: 12:30-4:30PM PST

Thursday: 12:30-4:30PM PST

Sunday: 8:00-11:00PM PST

Twitch streams are great for putting on in the background at work or to entertain your kids! =) If you don’t have time to engage, or don’t want to, feel free to come say hi in the chat, then let me know your are lurking in the background.

A word on how to watch:

The streaming quality on Twitch is far better than you have likely seen on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc. This is great for musicians! If you would like to get the most enjoyment from the stream, I recommend listening on your favorite headphones or speakers. Even basic earbuds will be much better for presenting the music than your phone or laptop speaker. My stream is presented in stereo, with varied instrumentation, to keep your ears happy.

Because Twitch began as a gaming platform, it is one of very few places on the internet where people typically engage on their computers more than their mobile devices. This means the content presented on twitch is geared toward those watching on HD monitors or Televisions with headphones or stereo systems connected.

You can also mirror the stream from your mobile to your TV. Try these tutorials to learn how:
